Da Kitty Speaks!
So…you want to know about little ole me? Be afraid… be very afraid. Ok well, maybe not that afraid. *grinz*
Well, about me… hmm. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am a supply specialist in the United States Army. Yes, I wear cammies (camouflage) for a living. I got my first ever computer back in 2001 and that, as they say, is where the adventure begins.
Would you believe I started my writing career as an online role player? Yup, that’s me. Had to go to someplace where I can dump all these stories bouncing around in my head. *smiles*
What is role playing, you ask? Well, to sum it up in a nutshell, it’s basically acting. You get to create a character, play that character out online in a group with others who share the same passion as you. The only difference I saw between online role playing and acting is you write out your character's scenes as you go. Although I developed a love for online role playing, I never considered myself much of a writer. Could never pay attention in English long enough. *grinz* So, I figured writing would turn out with the same results. However, as it turned out, writing out your character's actions as you go was so much fun! You get to watch a world be created right before your eyes, and you get to be the storyteller.
So I thought, why not write more about it? I still wanted to role play, so in order to do that; I needed to come up with my own stuff. With my own group and my own website, I got to create a world of my own and on my own terms. Knowledge like that was power, and that’s how I got into web design and graphics. In order to create ones own world, one needs to learn how.
My knowledge of web design and graphics is pretty much self taught. Couldn’t afford a lot classes in those days, and in most cases I still can’t. But the internet, as always, presented me with countless opportunities for one such as myself to advance. I was always into art, ever since I was little. I was drawing sketches for myself since I was seven. That skill, as they say, came naturally. I always had a knack for it.
2001 opened up a lot of doors for me. It was also the same year I became a die hard romance junkie. Among my favorite authors are Beatrice Small, Laurell K. Hamilton, Christina Dodd and the Great Christine Feehan. Yes, can’t ya tell? I’m a huge fan of that lady. Not to mention that she is a total sweetheart and one of the nicest authors I have ever met. She’s one of the main reasons why I decided to finally try my hand at writing in general. The other reason is simple. I figured it was time for this kitty to make her own paw prints in the world.
Why Erotic Romance? Hmm…well, as a lot of my friends would often tell me, I have a feline-like personality. Therefore, I’m often drawn to the naughty side of things. Not to mention I like reading anything to do with sex and romance. So why not write about it? As of recently? Well! I added publishing to my list of skills now. I don’t know where it’s going to take me but I’m sure it’s gonna be a lot of fun finding out!
